"Recent data suggest that Ketamine, given intravenously, might be the most important breakthrough in antidepressant treatment in decades" Thomas Insel - Director, National Institute of Mental Health
At Klarity, we aim to partner with mental healthcare professionals across Indiana to provide a new hope for patients through Ketamine Infusion Therapy. We understand that, although providers are becoming more educated and aware of the benefits Ketamine may provide, they are simply inexperienced or uncomfortable with infusion procedures and their facilities are not properly set up to perform them.
As an Anesthesiologist, Dr. Reed is highly trained and experienced in screening, administering Ketamine intravenously and monitoring patients during an infusion. She understands the severity of the mental conditions and fragile state of some patients. Therefore, it is a requirement for all Klarity patients to currently be under the care and supervision of a Psychiatrist, Family Physician, Therapist or other mental healthcare provider qualified to diagnose and treat mental illness.
All patients sign a consent form allowing Klarity access to information pertaining to their mental healthcare and permission to speak to their provider. Prior to the initial treatment, Dr. Reed will personally call the appropriate medical professional to discuss the patient's condition and intentions to utilize Klarity's Ketamine Infusion services. Dr. Reed will remain in contact throughout the duration of the treatment.
